AN OPEN AND SHUT SOLUTION TO FIREPLACE PROBLEMS!
If your fireplace was built without a damper then consider a top mount damper. A chain connects to the top assembly and a mounting bracket attaches inside the fireplace for bottom access.
Top mount fireplace dampers also save on heating bills, as a tight-sealing top mount damper is shown to be 10 times more efficient than old fashioned, bottom mount cast iron fireplace dampers.
NOTE: Top mount dampers are not to be used on fireplaces serving vented gas appliances or serving wood or gas stoves.
